The monograph provides geological data on chrysotile asbestos deposits in Kazakhstan. Geological and industrial types are identified. Based on the modern theory of mobilism, a geological-genetic model of the formation and preservation of chrysotile-asbestos deposits has been developed. A mineragenic zoning of Kazakhstan was carried out and the mineral potential of the country’s chrysotile-asbestos was determined. Based on a generalization of the results of exploration and exploitation of the Dzhetygarinsky deposit, methodological aspects of the study of chrysotile asbestos deposits are considered.
